The green immobilizer key on the dashboard keeps blinking which is preventing my car from starting. Initially i thought it was the alarm due to the reason that it has a remote start.
Problem: I try to start my car with the original factory key, as well tried with the other factory key (both have chips in them) and the car will start, run for a second then shut off. All the while there is a green key symbol flashing on the dashboard. I read online others having this issue as well.
What do the dashboard symbols mean? Each dashboard symbol corresponds to one aspect of the car. These symbols can be grouped together by color, system, importance, etc. Let's take a look at some of the most common dashboard warning lights and their corresponding system.

"It's the Engine Immobilizer System, toyotas anti-theft system once u insert the key into the ignition the transponder on the key sends a signal to the system to shut off allowing you to turn on the engine. Without the right key to match the signal the engine wont turn on. It turns on automatically after you remove the key."

If the computer inside car does not recieve the signal from keys the car will start and then shut right down. Its an anti theft feature.
